We started this journey back in 2024 with the Saidpur 10K, followed by Bangladesh’s signature international event—the Northern Half in 2025. After rain in 2024, hot-humid in 2025, now the Northern roads are calling again in winter…
Now it is time to go bigger.
Northern Marathon 2026 is coming on Friday, 11 December 2026.
Just like the Northern Half, we remain fully committed to maintaining international standards, always prioritizing runners’ experience, comfort, and safety. This is a World Athletics Certified course and proudly the first ever AIMS Full Member Marathon in Saidpur, setting a new benchmark for the entire region.

Northern Marathon 2026 | World Athletics Certified | AIMS Full Member!
We are thrilled to announce that the Northern Marathon 2026 has received special certification, making it the first race in Saidpur and North Bengal with this achievement.
Our course is measured to World Athletics standards, ensuring accurate, fair, and international-level race quality.
We are also proud to be a full member of AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races) since 2024, marking a major milestone for our race and community.

Participation and obtaining the race completion certificate from Northern Marathon 2026 will ensure international recognition and add value for runners aiming to qualify at the international stage.

- This event is exclusively for non-professional runners. Professional runners are not allowed to participate.
- Any foreign nation may participate at their own discretion, but there will be no special arrangements for them and no elite athlete criteria.
- This is a live event, and there is no option for virtual participation.
- Only participants who are registered can join the race using their assigned individual BIB. Transfer of BIB is strictly prohibited.
- Runners are encouraged to wear the event T-shirt of Northern Marathon 2026, and wearing T-shirts from other events is strictly prohibited.
- Due to climate or unforeseen circumstances, the organizer reserves the right to make any decision about the event and is not liable to conduct the event.
- The registration fees are non-refundable.
- Encouraging only physically fit and enthusiastic individuals to participate.
